IF MW wants to have a good relationship with RBR...
MW is damaging his relationship with RBR...
Did none of you catch the fact that MWs relationship with RBR was in the toilet at least by Turkey. (my guess is was done by the middle of 2009)
He would not have behaved as he did this year if he felt there was a relationship to damage.
RBR and MW are like a married couple staying together for the child but for whom the relationship is long past its used by date.
The ONLY thing thus surprises me is that it didnt end after the 2010 season.
MW DIDNT trust CH in 2009. (or he would have told him the true extent of his injuries)
He quite obviously didnt trust him in 2010.If this happened to a woman, people would be suspecting spousal abuse.....
Maybe Mrs. Webber has some splainin' to do....
I can understand why Webber kept it to himself. F1 is all about mental warfare. Team mates and rival teams are constantly trying to outpsych each other. By admitting a broken shoulder, Webber would have seemed weakened.
What I question is why he has mentioned it now? It is going to cause some fallout at Red Bull and it may endanger his relationship with them forever. Not only is it twice that he has been unfit (at McLaren, just one such incident finished Montoya's career with Ronzo) but he kept it a secret. Is he hoping to flog a few more books on the back of this revelation?
Garner a bit of sympathy for losing out to Vettel?
I think he wants to unsettle Vettel mentally. The young German totally outclassed Webber in the final races (and was IMO quicker over the season) and his star is firmly rising. By effectively claiming that Vettel won because Webber was injured means Vettel's achievement is tarnished/less valuable. Vettel may have been quicker than Webber in the last races but as soon as Webber is fully healed, it will be a level playing field again -kind of thing.....
This strategy fits Webber who has always tried psychological tricks against his team mates.
But I think this will backfire on him. Some posters already think he is a wanker for not being able to stay on his bike. Others think he shouldn't have taken chances with his health.
Red Bull will be pissed and question anything he ever says to them. Vettel will play the "I am a team player while Webber only thinks of himself" card. And all this to unsettle Vettel? If anything could unsettle him it would have happened after the Belgium GP....
